Habitat houses are simple, decent, and affordable. They are modestly sized, big enough to fit the homeowner’s needs but small enough to keep construction and maintenance costs low. Habitat uses quality, locally available building materials. Habitat’s home designs reflect the local climate and culture. The labor of volunteers and partner families, efficient building methods, modest house sizes and non-profit loans make it affordable for low-income families to purchase Habitat homes.

ReStore HVAC
We need your help to fund improvements to the ReStore!
The ReStore has been Effingham County’s destination for affordable furniture, appliances and building supplies since 2006. However, as an open space without a HVAC system, our loyal customers know it’s quite hot in the summer months!
We have added air conditioning to the showroom to create a more comfortable shopping experience for our customers, volunteers and staff. Use the button below if you would like to contribute. Every bit helps as we raise funds to reach our goal of $60,000.
